A note for the souls that have been broken tirelessly

It is a strange law of life – people – who seem no different than you- have the ability to help you bloom, while also holding the capability to make you whither. It remains a gambling game
– letting someone in and pushing them away –
somewhere it always seems as if, ultimately, it will hurt you more than them. They say no relationship works without trust- yet equally it happens so many times – people promise to become the moon for you, teach you how live under their light, and then leave you in the pit of darkness all over again – and suddenly it seems, it becomes darker than it was before you met them. It becomes a state where trusting another could mean leaning on shadows – ulimately, the damage is on you-
they were never as close as they said.
But one thing stands in certainty – your relationship with yourself must be at its best. Self-doubt, a lack of faith in your own being- it makes you believe that from a prick of a thorn, to someone stabbing you in the back – it was all deserved – when the reality stands far
from it. It happens, that you do lean on shadows some days, and the impact of falling did leave scars – but this imbalanced world promises you this fall – only to teach you how to stand up on your own. It happens – lovers do betray trust, best friends do too – even your own blood doesn’t promise you this right – but that is not the end of you – that is only the start of you becoming stronger than your younger heart from yesterday.
